Santa, Hurry Up!

IMG_8580
So here's the most decent photo of our Christmas tree this year. This was taken after it got toppled down two consecutive times. Yes, just imagine the amount of time I spent cleaning the carpet (since this is a real tree), making it dry, vacuuming it and yes, rearranging the ornaments with my 2 elves :P. I told Stripe that this would be the last year we will use a real tree haha! Time to go back to those very easy-to-maintain faux trees.

Anyway, just sharing this photo as I will go offline in a few.

Here's greeting everyone the Happiest and love-filled Yuletide season!
We all cannot wait to open our presents tomorrow midnight, we've been guessing what's inside those beautifully wrapped boxes, could there be some Romeo cigars, a beautiful purse or would they all end up to be mini-Stripe's presents :P. Cheers everyone!

and the some...

Little by little, I am learning the settings of this toy that Stripe gave me. Here are some shots I took this Autumn. I hope that I would master the night settings so when we visit this Theme park on Christmas Eve, I can take good pictures.

In the meantime, let me write "asia cruise" in my Christmas wishlist. Who knows, Santa might just grant my wish :).

Happy Holidays everyone, it's almost Christmas weee!

K-files.

Kindergarten is probably the happiest and most relaxed level in school. Too much hanging out at mini-Stripe's class makes me want to shift career and be a Kindergarten teacher tee hee. Seriously, I am considering this idea. For the remaining 12 days of school this 2010, mini-S' class talks about Holidays Around the World. They also had their Pajama Party (although some kids were in their running shorts:P) and watched the Polar Express. Then last Friday, they invited moms to help them make Gingerbread Houses. Look at how creative these kids are.

The Tree is Up!

Finally we found time to buy a tree and set it up.
This is the latest that we have put up our tree. We usually have it before Thanksgiving. Yes, our schedules have been extremely busy this year that even if we wanted to settle for a faux tree this year (because fresh trees are so hard to maintain), we have no time to check out the malls. One time, after picking up mini-Stripe at school, we passed by this store that sells Fresh Pine Trees, mini-S has been bugging us to buy a tree for many weeks now and I guess that was the day he waited. We still need to add on some more trimmings but for now, our tree is lighted and beautiful in mini-S' eyes.

By the way, mini-S' Christmas Stocking has been hanging for almost 2 months already, he insisted to hang it on his bedroom doorknob hoping to get a gift every single morning. Wouldn't it be funny if he hanged compression stockings, instead? Hee hee.

See you in Spring

Before I head off and check these hgh releasers, let me share this photo taken during our most recent and would be our last beach visit of 2010. I told my boys to hold off any plans of visiting this beach and wait till the weather's a little warm because during this visit, we all got home with colds and cough. Yay!

Fortunately though, we still have not turned on our centralized heater. I guess we are so used to the weather already. Let's see when the weather hits 20s. And yes, I am still waiting to snow, even after 3 years, I still get giddy thinking about snow :).

Have a good weekend everyone!

Memories of NYC.

Because I have been so hooked with Artscow custom-made photobooks, all of my photos are now organized and uploaded accordingly. It is only now that I saw some of our photos during our most recent trip to NYC. Sharing some of the pictures here.

Do you think this Central Park fairy would look better in these Cherokee uniforms? Hee hee.

And who could ignore the beauty of Central Park? Sigh, take me back to NYC.

Lastly, this was shot in Battery Park, NYC.

P.S.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we might have skipped taking this colon cleanser after Thanksgiving feast, but we have been religiously doing our afternoon jog at this beautiful place. Enough to burn the calories from the ham, turkey, pumpkin pie etc... But with this cold weather, we should at least run and not just jog to sweat some more.

What's your form of exercise this Autumn/Winter?

grateful...

How was your Thanksgiving weekend?
We had a quiet and restful Thanksgiving weekend. We opted to celebrate it at home, Stripe did most of the cooking for a change.

For the first time in 3 years, we did not participate in the Black Friday sale. Yes, we did a little bit of online shopping, but we did not visit a single store during the huge sale day.

This is a glimpse of how our spread looked like. We finished all leftovers in less than 2 days and from then on, I have been asking everyone I know how to lose weight quick.

Hope you all had a good one!

cramming.

I work best under pressure, maybe, that's a procrastinator's honed talent :P. And that's what I am doing right now, trying to beat my 1-hour deadline :P. But before I wear my turbo blogging hat, Stripe and I need to finalize mini-Stripe's presentation at his class. Yes, at Kindergarten they do mini-presentations. He was asked to present how Christmas is spent in his home country and we came out with a 4-paged presentation :P. We should have made more pages knowing that we have the most festive Christmas celebration. But then again, it would be too hard for mini-S to read more than 4 pages hee hee. So if you think Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, try spending Christmas in my home country.

Speaking of Disney, here's something I found while cleaning up our photo hd and uploading videos from our video card reader. Happy Christmas everyone!
