tuesday is our new saturday

Okay, instead of wallowing on my Labor Day Mood, I'm writing a real update (more backentries to come!) hee.

As I said, I'm going to start with the most recent. I'll try to write the 2 months backlog including the very delayed last-year's Las Vegas trip entry lol!

You see, since I don't know when, we have started a tradition that every Tuesday will be Ethan's day out! He's been stuck all day and night at home with a monster mom-that's me, present hahah and he deserves a day-out at least once every weekday, not counting the weekends, which is my day-out ROLF!

Anyways, last Tuesday is worth sharing because of his very well-behaved trip to the salon. This was his 1st time ever to sit in a real salon-chair (not the kiddie cars chairs). He went to his Dad's salon and got a senior stylist to do his hair. His last haircut was during his 3rd birthday, 4 months ago. Halata naman di ba, ang haba na ng hair!
As soon as we entered the salon, we were told where he was to sit and he immediately sat on the big chair. I swear he is the most vain boy I know as he was non-stop looking at the mirror from all angles of his head/face in between making faces. When Misty, the hairstylist approached him, he gave him a smile and asked for a gum! Yes a gum! Ang kapal ng mukha hahah!

ETHAN: Hi! (with pa-cute smile), May I have a gum please?
MISTY: Oh a gum?! (surprised!)
ME: Ethan, we'll just buy you a gum after your haircut.
ETHAN: I want her gum. mommy. I like to chew gum while she cuts my hair. (he noticed pala that misty was chewing a gum haha!)

Matapos man din ang 30-minute haircut niya, naubos ang one pack wrigley's pineapple-flavored gum ni Misty hahaha! So may dagdag tip siya in the end lol! Here's the proof of his non-stop nguya!
I was supposed to check on some more purses at TJ Maxx and tops at Ross but decided not too as Ethan wouldn't enjoy my shopping delays. It's his day afterall. Instead, we went arcade-ing which is always the case. If my bestfriend, tetet didn't have a VERY BAD experience with Chuck E Cheese's (Calgary branch) for my godson's 5th birthday party, we would have brought him in the local Chuck E Cheese's pero boycott mode muna ako. Besides, it's 20-hour drive from the nearest mall we have here.

Then of course, we capped our Tuesday-day out with a dinner at where else, Ethan's favorite restaurant: Red Robin! Magastos itong batang ito, if you let him choose where he wants to eat, he's more likely to tell you Red Robin or Applebee's! Ayaw niya ng Mc Do or any other fastfood chain. He would tell you that fastfood are for takeouts and deliveries toink!
I am just one happy mom that their kiddie meals include a very healthy salad which Ethan can finish. (all the time!)
Then of course, I wouldn't be sawa with their grilled Bruschetta Chicken Sandwich and unlimited garlic fries which leftovers we can take home!
On top of everything, Ethan adores Chef Red, feeling niya ito ang Jollibee ng Amerika haha! He is one of the few kids who adores mascots in all forms, shapes and sizes. The staff was so delighted with Ethan's reception with Chef Red. Kilala na nga siya as they call him, "the boy who gives Chef Red endless kisses, hugs and high-5s". Before he left, he looked for Chef Red, of course to give his high-5, kisses and hugs and bid him goodbye. Only to realize that Chef Red didn't kiss him back and went back to him while partly screaming: "Chef Red, Kiss me please, Kiss me please", the staff were saying their aaawws!
And since, it's been a while since his last toy purchase. He deserves this 18th transformers toy. He's passionate about them, I swear! Collector in the making.
We went home past 9, no loots for me and hubby, but we were both very happy and tired. We're saving up for a term life insurance and many other more important things than gadgets and purses, ows?
